FAQs

Here are the facts. You make the call.

Straight answers on fit, money, field and data.

The fit

What does SignalVote do for my campaign?

SignalVote puts field, fundraising and compliance in one operational picture. What your canvassers hear shapes your fundraising, and what you collect at fundraising feeds your filings. One system means no gaps between them, no missed deadlines, and no information lost in a handoff.

Is it built for my size of race?

SignalVote can operate a campaign of any size, from school board to Senate. You pick where to start, whether that's canvassing, donations, communications, planning or filing. Try the rest when you're ready. This one streamlined, easy-to-use system costs less than a single tool in the stack it replaces.

Can we switch mid-cycle?

Yes. Your bank connects directly, processor exports come in as they are, and your voter file loads from a spreadsheet. We load the reports you've already filed, and cash on hand is right from day one.

Where does our voter list come from?

Your choice. Buy it in the app or bring your own. Pick the voters you're after by district, turnout and demographics to see the count and price. Data loads straight into your field tools.

I manage several races. Do I need multiple accounts?

Each campaign has its own account, and you access them all with one login. Each campaign's data is walled off from the others. Your calendar shows other races' shifts in full, as busy time, or not at all. Your choice.

The money

Who files our reports?

Your treasurer. SignalVote builds the official file, and the treasurer reviews and submits it with just a few clicks. Missing donor details, duplicates and over-limit gifts are flagged as money comes in, so they're resolved when they come up, not on filing night. Every report carries its evidence, giving you a full audit trail.

How does our bank and processor data get in?

Bank transactions sync daily. Refresh when you need today's numbers before a deadline. Processor and bank exports upload as they are. See what came in before it's saved. Duplicate uploads are caught, and a bad import can be undone in one click.

What happens with an over-the-limit donation?

SignalVote totals what that donor has already given and tests the new gift against your jurisdiction's limit. If it's over, it's blocked and saved as a lead to follow up. Checks and cash go through the same test, and so does every report. A payment processor on its own can't do this, because it doesn't know the donor's history.

The field

What happens when canvassers lose signal?

Conversations and survey answers save to the phone and sync when service returns. Each offline stretch can run about an hour, and the clock resets when the phone reconnects. If something fails to save, the canvasser is told so they can note it by hand.

How do I know the doors got knocked?

Counts come from logged conversations, not from what a canvasser says. A shift can't start until the canvasser is at their turf. You watch the team move live on the map, and SignalVote flags no-shows and anyone running well below the campaign average.

The data and the cost

Can another campaign see our data?

No. Every campaign's data is walled off. Nothing a campaign enters is visible outside of that campaign.

Who owns our data if we leave?

You do. Every financial change is recorded and kept. Leave whenever you want and take a full export with you.

What does SignalVote cost?

One monthly subscription covers every capability: field, fundraising and compliance. Voter lists, text sends and card processing run through outside vendors, so they're charged per use at a pre-negotiated discount, and you approve the price before you spend a dollar. Pilot campaigns get early pricing. Ask us about it.
